Overnight Veterinary Technician

VCA Chatoak Animal Hospital is seeking a full time Veterinary Technician to join the team at our AAHA accredited, full-service hospital in Granada Hills, CA.

Compensation : $ 28.00 - $ 32.00 / hr. $3.00 Shift differential. Compensation negotiable dependent on education, experience, and credentials.

Schedule : 10 : 30p - 9am. 4 / 10's. Monday-Thursdays or Thursdays - Sunday. No intakes from 12a-7a.

• Physical examinations and patient assessment
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Surgical preparation and assisting
• Laboratory work
• Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, IV fluid therapy
• Catheter placement
• Pharmacy
• Patient recovery
• Compassionate care of our hospitalized animals
• All aspects of patient care
• Animal handling and restraint
• IM, IV,SQ injections
• Digital radiography
• Nursing care / hospitalization treatments
• Client communication
