Controller

As a Controller, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of our organization. You will be responsible for preparing financial statements, maintaining general ledger accounts, developing the chart of accounts, and analyzing cost accounting for our manufacturing operations. Your role will also involve supervising payroll accounting, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring tax compliance and filing requirements are met.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare or supervise the preparation of financial statements.
• Maintain, analyze, and summarize general ledger accounts.
• Develop and maintain the chart of accounts.
• Analyze and allocate costs of goods and manufacturing overhead costs in NAV.
• Supervise payroll systems and manage timecard reports via ADP Workforce Now.
• Oversee and review all accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements and make necessary adjusting entries.
• Maintain the fixed assets file.
• Supervise accounting staff.
• Ensure tax filings and compliance are up-to-date.
• Coordinate year-end, sales tax, worker's compensation, and property tax audits.
• Maintain vendor and customer relations.
• Ensure compliance with agency and governmental filing requirements.
• Coordinate with CPA on tax filings and other accounting issues.
• Work on special projects such as issues with NAV Software, insurance claims, and filing federal & state voluntary withholding taxes.

Work Environment :

This position is primarily onsite in Downtown Los Angeles, with potential future options for a hybrid schedule (1-2 days remote). Our work environment is supportive and flexible, with core hours from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM. We offer full benefits, 100% paid medical, dental, and vision.

Job Type & Location :

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.

This is a fully onsite position in Los Angeles, CA.
