Engineer, Electrical / Electronics II

Location:

• Charleston, SC Position: Engineer, Electrical/Electronics II Overview: ITC Defense is searching for an Engineer specializing in Electrical and Electronics in support of the Child Youth Program (CYP) Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) and Life Cycle Support Contract.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, test, and maintain CCTV, IP video surveillance, and electronic access control systems for CYP facilities.
• Perform hands-on setup and troubleshooting of IP cameras, VMS software, access control panels, card readers, and related network equipment.
• Assist with camera placement, field of view verification, cable terminations, and system commissioning.
• Diagnose and resolve video, network, and access control system issues to ensure continuous system availability.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive and emergency maintenance, and system upgrades for CCTV and IP video systems.
• Support lifecycle sustainment activities, including equipment replacement and technology refresh.
• Maintain accurate system documentation, configuration records, and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate directly with vendors, installers, and facility staff during installations and repairs.
• Ensure systems meet applicable DoD, CYP, and physical security requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's level degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering. 3 years of professional experience with design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacturing/integration of electrical and electronic equipment, to include: Systems/Equipment Support, and Test and Evaluation support of C4ISR or similar requirements.
• A Master's degree and/or a PhD can be credited as additional years of experience.
• Genetec Security Center 5.x Omnicast technical certification (or higher) is required.
• Ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
• U.S.
• Citizenship is required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active Security Clearance is not required but is a plus.
• Experience with reading CAD designs, technical writing, and Virtual Machine (VM) configurations.
• Advanced knowledge of network protocols , VLANs, firewalls, and VPNs for secure remote access.
• Strong communication skills with team members and senior government or company leaders.
