Material Handler

SUMMARY

A Material Handler works as part of a team to provide materials and support within a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will need to flex easily between tasks and seek to be proficient at all tasks assigned.

AVAILABLE SHIFT: MONDAY - THURSDAY 5 am - 3:30 pm
PAY: $17.50/hr (pay is not negotiable)

DUTIES:

• Delivers material to the point of consumption in response to Kanban signals
• Stores and retrieves parts in the warehouse using the first-in, first-out process
• Accurately performs inventory transactions and adjustments
• Contributes to continuous improvement projects
• Keeps work area well organized and clean
• Assists with performing cycle counts
• Additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 6 months of recent experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Able to multitask and be flexible in a dynamic work environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
• May be required to alternate schedules to meet production goals
• Ability to adjust work pace in response to daily production data
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Forklift experience preferred
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles is preferred
