Schedule : Monday - Friday, hours based on participants needs. Both full-time and part-time positions available!

The Registered Occupational Therapist is responsible to evaluate and assess program participants, educate individuals and team members. Works directly with individuals with Autism and developmental disabilities providing support and therapy services. Complete required documentation, communicate with other health care professionals on the program participants plan (IEP, etc.). Participate in Agency activities, assist with equipment adaptation if need. Be an active team member.

Role responsibilities include but not limited to the following :

• Evaluate and assess program participants on an ongoing basis.
• Plan and implement appropriate treatment and goals based upon the evaluation, and or observations.
• Educate individuals and / or team members about findings of the evaluation, established treatment plans, methods of treatment.
• Collect and maintain data on goals.
• Contribute to a positive work environment through collaborative teamwork and positive communication in alignment with Kelberman’s culture, values and mission.
• Demonstrate excellent work attendance by being punctual and reliable for all scheduled shifts and meetings.
• Adhere to mandatory reporting requirements and HIPPA laws.
• Complete all required documentation according to program regulations.
• Communicates with other health care professionals relating to all aspects of the Individual Program Plan IP and Individual Education Plan (IEP).
• Ensure compliance with all pertinent government and agency regulations and operating standards.
• Assist in orienting students, volunteers and new therapists within the program; provide supervision for therapy assistants as required.
• Provides assessment, fabrication and modification and repair of adaptive equipment.
• Participate in evacuation drills.
