Description

JOB SUMMARY : Responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of the Company's facility.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Maintenance
  • Maintains cleanliness of all floors, including, but not limited to, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, waxing, buffing, stripping and / or sealing.
  • Cleans all washroom facilities.
  • Cleans walls and windows and dusts furniture and fixtures moving furniture when necessary.
  • Empties all trash containers.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies needed to carry out duties.
  • Maintains cleanliness of Company grounds by sweeping parking areas and sidewalks and picking up and emptying garbage.
  • Removes snow from Company sidewalks and parking areas.
  • May be required to perform lawn maintenance.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One-year work experience as a janitor.
  • Self-motivated and hard working.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to read and write.

    • PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

  • Ability to frequently lift objects weighing up to and including 75 pounds.
  • Ability to frequently carry objects weighing up to and including 75 pounds.
  • Ability to frequently push and / or pull objects weighing up to and including 75 pounds.
  • Ability to crawl, bend, kneel, climb and / or squat.
  • Ability to withstand exposure to extreme climate variations; exposure to heat and cold.
  • Ability to frequently stand / walk.
