Responsibilities

The AVP Loss Control and Risk Management is responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to mitigate risks, reduce claims, and enhance overall safety for insured clients. This role collaborates with underwriting, claims, and risk management teams to assess exposures, design loss prevention programs, and provide expert guidance on risk control measures.

• Develop and oversee comprehensive loss control programs to minimize risks and improve policyholder safety.
• Conduct risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Provide technical expertise on safety regulations, industry best practices, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with underwriting teams to evaluate risks and influence pricing and coverage decisions.
• Analyze loss trends, claim data, and emerging risks to proactively adjust loss control strategies.
• Lead a team of loss control consultants and specialists, providing training, guidance, and performance oversight.
• Develop and deliver educational materials, webinars, and safety training programs for policyholders.
• Stay up to date on regulatory requirements, OSHA standards, and evolving risk management practices.
• Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including brokers, clients, and industry associations.
