Senior Principal Systems Engineer

Location : Aurora, CO (On-site)

Job Type : Contractor or Contract-to-Hire (W-2)

Clearance : Active TS / SCI (with ability to obtain Polygraph)

Pay : $175,000 - $200,000

About the Program

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to provide leadership and direction to Agile software development teams supporting a large-scale satellite ground system pursuit within a premier defense space program.

This role is part of a newly awarded preliminary design effort to develop next-generation satellite mission management and command-and-control systems . The engineer will ensure the system is fully defined, documented, verified, and validated prior to operational deployment.

This position is 100% onsite in Aurora, CO .

What You Will Do

• Provide technical analyses and define system behavior, including creating operational use cases
• Decompose requirements, define system interfaces, and establish verification & validation (V&V) methods
• Support system architecture, design, integration, and test activities to ensure successful V&V prior to operational release
• Lead a mixed team consisting of employees, subcontractors, and leased labor across all phases of Systems Engineering
• Contribute to Agile software development processes and ensure engineering alignment across teams
