The George Washington University Hospital’s Emergency Department (ED) provides comprehensive care for patients experiencing acute medical conditions, trauma, and critical illnesses. As a Level I Trauma Center , the ED at GW Hospital is equipped to handle the most complex emergency cases, with highly specialized teams available 24 / 7.

• The Emergency Department is a 62-bed unit , including resuscitation rooms, fast-track areas, and specialized spaces for trauma, cardiac emergencies, and stroke.
• Our ED is supported by state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment facilities, with rapid access to radiology, laboratory, and surgical services.
• The ED is staffed by board-certified emergency physicians, nurse practitioners, and a highly skilled team of emergency-trained nurses.

Our focus is on delivering immediate, patient-centered care while maintaining close collaboration with other specialty areas for seamless patient transitions and long-term outcomes.

Job Summary :

As a Registered Nurse in our Level I Trauma Center's Emergency Department, you will be at the forefront of providing critical care to patients with a variety of urgent and life-threatening medical conditions. Our Emergency Department is known for its fast-paced environment and its commitment to excellence in patient care, teaching, and research. You will work alongside a dedicated team of medical professionals to deliver high-quality care and support to patients and their families during critical times.
