As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Overnights in Montgomery, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible to guests and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. Pay Rate : $18.00 / Hour

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or hazards within the location.
  • Work closely with location management and staff to address security-related needs and support a positive environment for visitors and employees.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal policies and client expectations.
  • Assist with access control procedures and monitor entry and exit points as needed.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
