As a Design Consultant, you will be responsible for elevating our guest experience with an emphasis on nurturing the growth of our complimentary design service. Your partnership with other Design Consultants will help promote external outreach within the community to support and expand our current market reach. You are the champion of guest engagement, so our guests will experience an inspiring shopping event where they feel empowered to customize their space.You will report to the Store Leader.The hiring location is Austin, TX, onsite. Your Impact Provide design expertise for scheduled appointments (Studio and Home visits), virtual appointments, and "on-demand" design time* Identify and network with local organizations and businesses that would benefit from Design Solutions' services and provide them with DS marketing materials.* Support the retail store team in varied responsibilities, including order entry, visual floorsets and merchandising reinforcement of store maintenance and standards, and product training activities What You Bring 2+ years’ experience in interior design, consultation, and event planning* Space planning skills* Employ basic drafting skills with the ability to read and interpret architectural plans and basic floor plans* Conduct Home Visits with established guests and a valid driver's license* Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysRemote work is not permitted in NYC currently.#LI-KurtHejnal#OnsiteIf you enjoy being a part of a team, creating experiences and delighting customers, you’ll love it here.
