Job Description Volant Partners, Inc is seeking an Associate Hardware Engineer to assist our clients with the development and deployment of their products.

Responsibilities will vary by client project, but the selected candidate will contribute to areas such as development and testing.

In addition, responsibilities will include working closely with the development teams throughout the development lifecycle to ensure smooth delivery according to project milestones.

Selected candidates will use their knowledge to perform these tasks and introduce best practices into our clients.

Successful candidates will be self-starters that are comfortable in new situations where success is dependent on quickly understanding client challenges and addressing them.

This individual must have excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) and be able to communicate effectively with different engineering disciplines, project and client leadership.  This position is fully onsite in Anaheim and we are only seeking candidates in the greater Orange County area.

This position will also require out of state travel up to 30% of the time.

Typical Responsibilities Test case design Test planning and execution Testing of systems developed by the customer Test automation and reporting of test results  Championing quality assurance best practices on their project Enabling the Development team in producing a quality product Required Qualifications 1+ years of hardware development and testing experience Knowledge of various testing techniques Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Programming experience in C++ and Python Experience with tools such as MATLAB and Labview Experience with low level embedded systems Experience with project management tools such as JIRA.

Experience in every-day use of version control system (git) Experience in working with test documentation (Test Plan, test report, basic test metrics) Experience in working with requirements Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively As a consultant, ability to effectively cooperate with the client and / or end users Fluent English in speech and writing (frequent communication with English-speaking clients) Must be a US citizen able to obtain Secret Clearance Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in technical course of study preferred Experience working in regulated industries such as defense, aerospace and automotive Experience working in a consulting or engineering services company Experience with power management Experience with unit testing Compensation & Benefits The salary range for this position is currently $94,000 to $117,000 based on current market data.

Actual compensation will depend on the successful candidates’ work location, qualifications, skills, and depth of experience.

As an employee-owned company, the total compensation for this position will include Stock Options and eligibility for the Utilization, VP Accelerator and Profit-Sharing bonus programs.
