  • Schedule : PRN - As needed. Hours vary ranging from 7 : 00am-5 : 00pm, weekday and weekend rotation.
  • Facility : St. Agnes - Ascension
  • Location : Baltimore, MD
  • Salary : $27.81-$38.76 per hour
  • NBCOT certification required.

Responsibilities

Conduct medically prescribed occupational therapy under the supervision of an occupational therapist.

  • Implement an established treatment plan using appropriate modalities. Document finding of patient progress.
  • Seek consultation as necessary.

    • Monitor patient's response to treatment plan.

  • Communicate patient progress and possible goal revisions to occupational therapist.

    • Educate the patient and family / caregiver about patient deficit.

  • Provide discharge planning assistance and information regarding appropriate selection / use of adaptive equipment and community support programs.
  • May oversee the care provided by therapy 3-Technicians according to established regulations and practice standards.

    • Requirements

    Licensure / Certification / Registration :

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

    • One or more of the following required :

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentialed from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentialed from the Maryland Board of Occupational Therapy Practice prior to hire date or job transfer date.

    • Education :

  • Associate's degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program required.

    • Additional Preferences

    No additional preferences.
