Core Responsibilities :
- Stay informed about U.S. federal and state privacy and data protection laws and regulations.
- Understand global privacy laws as they apply to our operations, influencing the company's compliance posture.
- Gain knowledge of the legal implications surrounding Artificial Intelligence, assessing risks related to personal data usage.
- Conduct privacy reviews on proposals and contracts, effectively communicating findings to stakeholders.
- Analyze contracts, subcontracts, and licensing agreements to identify privacy requirements and potential risks.
- Assist in drafting privacy impact assessments and public-facing privacy statements.
- Become familiar with Maximus operations and system integrations.
- Investigate privacy incidents, documenting risks and providing legal analyses to determine breaches and recommend improvements.
- Assist in the breach notification process, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Handle data subject requests efficiently.
- Support the development and review of documentation, templates, and privacy training materials.
- Participate in project privacy audits to ensure compliance.
- Identify innovative methods for assessing privacy risks during the proposal and contract phases.
- Collaborate with diverse teams, providing guidance on privacy-related inquiries.
Minimum Qualifications :
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to one or more State Bars.0-3 years of relevant professional experience.Current IAPP certification required within 6 months of hiring.1+ years of privacy experience in a corporate, legal, or educational context preferred.Familiarity with relevant privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA, Privacy Act, GLBA, FCRA, UK GDPR).A collaborative spirit with a strong work ethic and a proactive approach.Able to work independently as well as in a team environment, demonstrating professionalism and strong interpersonal skills.EEO Statement

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation package at Maximus reflects a variety of factors, including location, a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and market conditions. The minimum annual salary for this position is $88,740.00, while the maximum is $120,060.00. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, life and disability insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
