Job Summary

Growing law firm looking for an attorney with 3 to 6 years experience handling state and federal tax controversy matters, estate planning, general business law and transactional matters. Our law firm currently has 13 attorneys and is looking to expand. Direct client contact available with an opportunity to work under the guidance of some of Chicagos leading tax controversy and business attorneys.

Central Loop location. Resume required. Overall compensation commensurate with experience. Health insurance, profit sharing, 401(k) plan, etc.

Responsibilities :

• Draft legal documents such as operating agreements, contracts, wills and trusts.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Advise clients on business legal matters.
• Represent clients in court proceedings.
• Keep up to date with changes in the law.

Work Location : In person (Hybrid available after trial period)

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school and bar exam
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues to best serve clients
