Role Overview :

As GM, Biology, you will play a pivotal role in Proteges next phase of expansion spearheading the launch of a Biology vertical from the ground up. This is a self-directed commercial and strategic partnerships role that demands both vision and execution. Youll be responsible for identifying the most promising biologic companies, building the roadmap for entry, and forging early partnerships that validate product-market fit. This role requires navigating the deal, startup, and industry complexities that come from solving problems no one has solved before.

Key Responsibilities :

Define the Biology vertical to launch

Cultivate strategic partnerships to expand our network and data offerings

Close deals with data buyers, owning the end to end process from prospecting to negotiating through closing

Segment the market and define priorities among those segments

Collaborate with leadership to define the strategy and resourcing plan for the biologics market

About You :

Motivation and ability to get things done, especially independently

Record of success in partnerships (bonus if you had a quota); ability to identify and close strategic deals in a fast-paced environment without many resources to help you

Ability to structure creative deals for win-win-wins

Comfort with ambiguity and with the possibility that this role may evolve over time

Ability to communicate complex information to diverse audiences clearly

You treat those around you with kindness
