Pro Talent Group, a division of MS-IL Staffing & Packaging, in partnership with a leading local client, is hiring for a full-time Controls Technician position in the Indianapolis, Indiana area!

Shifts Available :

  • 1st Shift : 6 AM - 2 : 30 PM
  • Must be able to work overtime or weekends as needed and may need assistance on off shifts if necessary.

The Controls Technician plays a crucial role in the operations department, focusing on troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, PLC, HMI, motion control instrumentation and system networks.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Extensive experience with PLC programming; Capable of supporting large, complicated, proprietary PLC programs.
  • Must have strong troubleshooting skills to resolve both PLC hardware and PLC software related problems.
  • Complete understanding of PLC communications.
  • Allen-Bradley experience is strongly required with specific experience using Logix 500 and Logix 5000 software.
  • Must have a detailed understanding of the functionality of the individual hardware components of a typical servo motor-based motion control system including motion controllers, servo motor amplifiers / drives, servo motors, and feedback devices.
  • Can troubleshoot controls and relay logic; understands electrical theory and basic calculations.
  • Maintains strong troubleshooting skills to resolve both hardware and software related problems with these systems.
  • Must have working knowledge of electronic circuitry, electrical and pneumatic schemes, equipment prints and facility maintenance.

    • Job Requirements :

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of Controls / Automation experience or 5 years in a related trade.
  • Experience in food processing / manufacturing is beneficial.
  • Must have working knowledge of electronic circuitry, electrical and pneumatic schemes, equipment prints and facility maintenance.
  • Able to read and understand specifications and blueprints.
