We currently have an opportunity for a Project Scheduler in College Point, NY. As the Project Scheduler you will develop and manage schedules for field and engineering projects. You will assist the project managers with the scheduling, planning, coordinating, and monitoring of project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare preliminary construction schedules for estimating and proposals
- Develop, maintain and update detailed resource loaded schedules for construction projects
- Gather and analyze information to prepare reports on the progress of projects. Frequent on-site visits to review construction progress required
- Support the project management team in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of project progress
- Prepare reports as required by the project
- Troubleshoot and monitor potential scheduling problems
- Develop schedule fragnets to support time extensions and impact delays for change orders and / or delays
- Work with Project Managers and Engineers to identify adverse turned or schedule slippage and recommend corrective action
- Research, analyze, and prepare project impact documentation for mitigation
- Facilitate and participate in schedule review meetings
Qualifications
Bachelors or equivalent degree / experience combination in construction and / or engineering5+ years experience in scheduling, minimum 5 years in experience in constructionProficient in the use of Oracle Primavera Project Management (P6) for the purpose of developing, monitoring and maintaining the contract schedule and all required reportingKnowledge of construction projects including bridges, building recovery, infrastructure and transitExperience with planning and scheduling, validation, commissioning, cost control, claims, and estimatingStrong organizational, analytical, and writing skills, to include solid experience in writing functional and technical specificationsExcellent communication and problem solving skillsAbility to handle multiple projectsAdditional Benefits Offered by OHLA USA :
