C.W. Wright is currently recruiting for a Field Mechanic to join our busy Fleet Department at our Corporate Office in South Chesterfield, VA .

Requirements :

Perform maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs on trucks, off-road equipment, and aerial lift equipment in a safe, efficient, and quality-minded manner.

Key Areas :

• Perform field and shop repair work on fleet units. Perform operation tests prior to repairs to verify complaints. Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to the manufacturer’s specifications.
• Follow paper-flow procedures including documenting correct mileage / hours, saving and tagging all warranty and core parts, documenting all repairs on work order procedures, follow parts ordering procedures.
• Perform a final operational test on units to quality-check all repairs
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on units to maximize the safety, productivity, and life of the unit.

Working conditions - TRAVEL REQUIRED :

Frequently works outdoors. Exposed to various weather conditions, temperatures, noise levels, and heights of up to 150 feet. Requires travel – Approximately (but not limited to) 95% within 2 hours of the Richmond area and approximately 5% of the time will require onsite assistance in our shop.

Other :

Mechanic shall provide basic hand tools. Heavy equipment and specialized tooling and test equipment will be supplied by the organization.
