Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) position requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications, with float to ICU and both day and night shifts available.
Responsibilities
Work primarily in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) of a hospital settingPatient ratio of 1 : 4Patient population includes cardiovascular, telemetry, and respiratory care casesRequires floating to ICU and may float to Med Surg as neededShifts are 12 hours, with both day (7 : 00–19 : 30) and night (19 : 00–7 : 30) rotationsEvery other weekend and holiday coverage requiredUses Cerner EMR; Cerner experience requiredDaily responsibilities include cardiac telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, and respiratory interventionsOrientation and online modules to be completed prior to and during assignment, with up to 12 hours requiredScrubs in ceil blue are required and not providedFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyIf previously employed at the facility, at least 1 year must have passed before returning as a travelerMaximum of 7 days requested time off permitted per 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed in the first two weeksLocal candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a lower rateRequirements
Active MD or compact RN license requiredMinimum of 2 years IMC or similar experience requiredValid ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications requiredCompetency in cardiac telemetry, IV therapy, phlebotomy, cerebrovascular accident care, and respiratory care requiredMust pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythmsTwo supervisor references required for considerationFlu vaccine requiredBenefits
