Job Title: Referral Coordinator Location: 3110 Chino Avenue, Suite 280, Chino Hills, CA (91709) Duration: 13 Weeks / 3+ Months Shift: Monday - Friday; 5x8-Hour Shifts (08:00-17:00 or 08:30-17:30, varied)
Position Summary The Referral Coordinator is responsible for processing primary care referrals to specialists, obtaining necessary authorizations from third-party payers, and supporting patients throughout the referral process. This includes scheduling specialist appointments, maintaining accurate logs (including IEHP), and providing timely updates to both patients and physicians.
Key Responsibilities - Process and manage referrals from primary care providers to specialists.
- Obtain authorizations from third-party insurance providers.
- Notify patients and physicians of referral statuses and specialist information.
- Assist patients with scheduling specialist appointments as needed.
- Maintain IEHP logs and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
Qualifications - Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in referral coordination; experience with IEHP required
- Licensure/Certification: Not required
- Preferred Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
