About the RoleAs a Direct Care Professional, you’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them lead fulfilling and independent lives. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on, people-centered environment and is ready to bring their experience and dedication to a rewarding career.
Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
- Provide daily support and assistance with personal care, hygiene, and other activities of daily living.
- Foster a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents.
- Assist with meal preparation, medication reminders, and transportation as needed.
- Encourage and support residents in achieving personal goals and participating in community activities.
- Communicate effectively with residents, team members, and families to ensure the best care possible.
We’re looking for candidates who have:
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role or working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to caregiving.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all.
