Job Description
The GSA Vehicle Program Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of the GSA vehicle program. This includes managing vehicle operations, ensuring compliance with GSA standards, and delivering exceptional customer service. This position requires a blend of operational expertise and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, making you the central point of contact for GSA representatives.
Responsibilities
- GSA Vehicle Logistics : Oversee all daily operations related to incoming and outgoing GSA vehicles. Conduct detailed inspections in accordance with GSA guidelines and ensure all documentation is accurate. Manage the marshalling of new vehicles and trade-ins, ensuring quality and readiness for sale.
- Maintenance and Diagnostics Oversight : Assess vehicle conditions and coordinate necessary repairs and maintenance services. Manage the transport of vehicles to service providers and verify that all repairs are completed satisfactorily. Conduct road tests to ensure vehicles are operational and meet safety standards.
- Customer and Government Partner Relations : Act as the main contact for GSA representatives, providing updates and maintaining professional communication. Address inquiries and resolve issues promptly, reinforcing our commitment to high-quality service.
- Compliance and Documentation : Maintain all necessary GSA records, inspection reports, and transactional documents in line with regulatory standards. Ensure strict confidentiality of all government and company information. Adhere to safety and operational requirements stipulated by IAA, DOT, and GSA.
- Operational Excellence and Safety : Uphold all company safety policies, utilizing proper safety equipment and adhering to yard safety protocols. Stay vigilant regarding any hazards associated with vehicle operations and equipment activities. Ensure a clean and organized workspace for optimal professionalism.
- Branch Support : Assist with general branch tasks, including vehicle check-ins and documentation management for non-GSA inventory. Participate in data entry for auction prep, assist visitors, and engage in organizational activities for the vehicle yard, while supporting various administrative needs alongside branch leadership.
Qualifications
Strong mechanical knowledge and skills to identify repair needs.Excellent organizational and time management abilities with a keen eye for detail.Professional communication skills, showcasing a proven track record in customer service.Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with digital inspection and record-keeping systems.Ability to operate independently while exercising sound judgement in daily decision-making.Willingness to work in various weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors.Deep understanding of vehicle title processes and auction operations.Experience with government contracts, GSA programs, or fleet management is a plus.About Us
