We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team in East Multnomah County. This Contract-to-permanent position requires someone who is passionate about ensuring payroll accuracy and enjoys collaborating with employees across the organization. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining payroll systems and assisting with various HR-related tasks to support our growing team.
Responsibilities :
- Process bi-weekly payroll for a workforce of approximately 100 employees, including both hourly and salaried staff.
- Manage payroll reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurate and properly documented.
- Handle expense reimbursements and bonus processing in a timely manner.
- Administer 401(k) reconciliations and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with employees to address payroll-related inquiries and provide exceptional support.
- Assist with benefits administration, including reconciling benefits bills and supporting employee enrollment.
- Maintain payroll systems, ensuring data accuracy and efficient operation.
- Utilize ADP Workforce Now and Excel tools such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs for reporting and data analysis.
- Take initiative to request additional projects or tasks when primary responsibilities are completed.
- Proven experience in payroll processing, including bi-weekly payroll for up to 100 employees.
- Proficiency in using ADP and other HRIS payroll systems.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create pivot tables and use VLOOKUP functions.
- Familiarity with payroll reconciliations and benefits administration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with employees and resolve inquiries.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest or experience in HR-related functions such as onboarding and benefits support.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy and confidentiality.
