Job Summary

The School of Public Policy at Georgia Tech, together with the Ethics, Technology, and Human Interaction Center (ETHICx), invites applications for a Postdoctoral Teaching Fellowship in Ethics and Technology, starting January 1, 2026.

This is a two-year, non-renewable fellowship which includes research, a 2 / 2 teaching assignment, and service that relates broadly to the mission of ETHICx. The fellow will be expected to teach courses in practical ethics, which may include engineering ethics, environmental ethics, and / or science, technology, and human values. Interest in and capacity for teaching a course on AI Ethics & Policy would be especially valuable, as well as assisting in supervision of the Georgia Tech Ethics Bowl Team.

Responsibilities

Job duties will include research, teaching and service activities at Georgia Tech.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. conferred by January 1, 2026, in a field related to ethics and technology, including philosophy of science and technology; science, technology, and society (STS); ethics of emerging technologies, and others. The Ph.D. must have been conferred within the last five years.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have university-level experience teaching courses in practical ethics or related topics.
