Maintenance Engineer Foreperson

We are seeking a Engineering Foreman to join our hard working and fast-paced team. The Engineering Foreman oversees the Engineering Department operations in coordination with the Plant Manager and performs maintenance tasks as assigned in an orderly and cost conscious manner. This role also ensures all Engineering employees work safely and efficiently with a minimum amount of disruption to the production process.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :

• Manages department operations in coordination with Plant Manager
• Operates with a sense of "ownership" and professionalism.
• Coordinates and / or performs required repairs and maintenance as directed.
• Recommends to Plant Manager any needed improvement in equipment functions.
• Ensures all work is performed in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements
• Ensures all work areas are clean, safe, and following company GMP's.
• Ensures, through training and follow up, that engineering staff work in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Ensures that all work assignments are completed as designated by supervisor.
• Preforms work in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Maintains accurate and timely records of work performed on work orders, maintenance calls, preventative maintenance reports, and employee issues.
• Prepares specific and accurate parts request forms.
• Responds to maintenance and line stoppage calls.
• Provides emergency repairs quickly and efficiently.
• Performs duties in all areas within maintenance department.
• Provides technical assistance and information to Plant Manager as needed.
• Display initiative in recognizing work to be accomplished and makes recommendations to Plant Manager.
