Snapshot / Role Overview

We're seeking an IT Helpdesk Technician in the Chicago metro area to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across devices and systems supporting commercial HVAC operations.

Impact

  • Keep field technicians and office staff productive with quick technical support
  • Minimize downtime through efficient troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Support business operations with reliable IT infrastructure
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal technology users

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on PCs, laptops, and mobile devices
  • Respond to helpdesk tickets and support requests in timely manner
  • Install and configure hardware and software for new users
  • Assist with network connectivity and system-related projects
  • Document issues and resolutions in ticketing system
  • Perform hands-on engagement with users at multiple locations
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff as needed

    • Requirements

    Must-Haves

  • 1+ years of IT support or helpdesk experience
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license for travel to multiple locations

    • Nice-to-Haves

  • CompTIA A+ or similar IT certifications
  • Experience supporting mobile devices and tablets
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Office 365
  • Associate degree in Information Technology or related field
