• . This role focuses on the liability side of the balance sheet, offering the opportunity to shape accounting strategy, policy, and reporting across the business.
• What You’ll Do :
• Lead accounting for insurance liabilities, reserves, and complex balance sheet items under U.S. GAAP and statutory standards.
• Develop and maintain liability accounting policies, ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical analysis and guidance on mergers, acquisitions, reinsurance transactions, and strategic initiatives.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, advising internal teams on best practices and emerging trends.
• Drive processes to operationalize new accounting guidance and support cross-functional collaboration.
• What We’re Looking For :
• 10+ years in GAAP and statutory insurance accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA highly preferred.
• Strong experience with business combinations, reinsurance accounting, and technical accounting research.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Analytical, proactive, and able to challenge assumptions with well-reasoned recommendations.
• Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
• Compensation :
• $180,000-$250,000 base, depending on experience.
