The Accounts Payable Associate provides support to the Accounting department to pay the obligations of the Company. Supervision of the position is exercised by the Accounting Manager. This is a non-exempt hybrid position that encompass a 40 hours / week schedule.

COVID VACCINATION REQUIRED, UNLESS THERE IS A DOCTOR-APPROVED MEDICAL REASON OR RELIGIOUS FACTORS THAT EXIST

Summary of essential job duties :

• Responsible for all activities in the Accounts Payable function
• Receives and accurately posts payables ensuring appropriate approvals and coding
• Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintains accurate records
• Reconciles monthly vendor statements in a timely manner
• Reviews applicable accounting reports and accounts payable register to ensure accuracy
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Processes and follows up on rush items
• Ensures payables are scanned, labeled and electronically attached to appropriate jobs in various programs
• Responsible for the collection, opening and scanning incoming mail
• Responsible for tracking preliminary notices and status of supplier payments
• Primary for contractor communications
• Participation in and / or arrange meetings with vendors
• Will assist with draw preparation and support
• Performs a variety of tasks as needed
