Carrier Commercial Service is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee commercial mechanical focused on data centers. This role is responsible for the startup, commissioning, and warranty management of Carrier air- and water-cooled chillers. The Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, commissioning authorities, general contractors, and subcontractors.

The job site is located in Birmingham, Alabama. However, travel from a nearby regional home location is acceptablefor example, Atlanta, GA; Jackson, MS; Nashville, TN; etc. Please note that extensive travel, with several months spent on-site at the project jobsite, is required if the employee is not located in Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Management

• Lead startup, commissioning, and warranty processes for Carrier air- and water-cooled chillers in newly constructed data centers.
• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, ensuring schedules and budgets are met.
• Track and review key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor project success.
• Conduct work in progress meetings with stakeholders, addressing design, material delivery, and labor schedules.
• Ensure all projects meet or exceed booked profit margin goals.
• Work with project coordination to order and track all chiller parts needing to be ordered for warranty execution.
