Overview

While rising seniors will be given priority, we will consider recent graduates and rising juniors.

CoBank interns get real-life exposure to the daily duties of their group. They spend the summer as a valued member of their respective team, learning business skills and assisting with a variety of projects that have an impact on the bank’s operations. An additional focus of the summer intern will be to complete a capstone project that will seek to add value to the team they are supporting.

Job Description

The CoBank Third Party Risk Summer Intern will have an exciting opportunity to :

• Learn how to risk assess third parties for both inherent and residual risks in order to safely onboard new vendors into the enterprise while minimizing risk via a state of the art vendor management technology platform.
• Learn about Enterprise Risk Governance and its various elements by studying and analyzing CoBank’s Third Party Risk Governance Framework.
• Shadow the third party risk leader through various management reporting committees and working groups both internal and external to CoBank where third party risks and various oversight topics are discussed / reviewed.
• Conduct research and partner closely with the Third Party Risk leader to build out a Center of Excellence on third party risk for all CoBank associates aimed at empowering vendor relationship owners (in particular) to be better first line risk managers by fully understanding their roles and responsibilities.
