Position Summary : Partners with Team Leader(s) to make our customers successful by embracing AJA’s Vision. Responsible for operating CNC equipment to create components per specifications and standard operating procedures.

Essential Role Responsibilities

• Operates and completes set-ups for lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses, and CNC machines.
• Machines stainless steel, aluminum, and a variety of plastic parts as needed.
• Fit parts to very close tolerances, fabricating materials as needed.
• Works with leaders to ensure quality control on product lines and adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and CAD files.
• Ensures proper finish according to blueprints, routing, and bill of materials.
• Suggest improvements to machining processes to enhance productivity.
• Use measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.) to inspect finished parts.
• Maintains clean and functional workstations and adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
• Wear appropriate PPE and ensure a clean, hazard-free work area.
• Confirms product performance by designing and conducting verification & validation tests.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by department team leader(s).

Requirements

Qualifications

Essential Education & Experience

High School Diploma and / or G.E.D; additional education preferred.

3-5 years of knowledge and experience as a machinist.

Must be able to operate a drill press, manual mill, and manual lathe

Operation of CNC mill & lathe (Prototrak experience preferred)

1-2 years machining components for automated equipment (Preferred)

Ability to operate a drill press, manual mill, and manual lathe (Preferred)

Experience in Foodservice manufacturing Industry (Preferred)

Pay Range : $29 - $36 per hour. This role is bonus eligible. The actual pay rate for this position will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, education, experience, and qualifications.
