Key Responsibilities :
Assist in emergency and scheduled surgical procedures.Collaborate with the surgical team to provide optimal patient care.Act as the liaison between the surgical team and patients' families.Organize necessary surgical supplies for procedures.Conduct comprehensive patient assessments before, during, and after surgery.Ensure the operating room remains sterile and follow count procedures.Administer medications as per physician guidelines.Engage patients and their families in the post-operative care plan.Qualifications :
Graduated from an accredited nursing school; Associate's Degree or higher in Nursing required.Active Registered Nurse license in your practicing state or an active Compact License.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or American Red Cross required.A minimum of 1-year experience in Perioperative Nursing is essential.Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days.Trident Health includes two acute care hospitals and three freestanding emergency departments, serving nearly 375,000 residents in South Carolina's Lowcountry each year.
