About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Anesthesiology - Critical Care DO in Michigan!

A hospital-employed Anesthesiologist with Critical Care fellowship training is needed to join a growing ICU and surgical team in Jackson, MI, at a Level 2 Trauma Center. This role balances high-acuity cardiovascular ICU coverage with comprehensive anesthesia services in the OR, including obstetric and healthy pediatric cases.

Position Highlights:

• Provide 8-12 weeks per year of service in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU), including home call coverage
• Oversee APPs managing post-operative patients (cardiac surgery, major vascular procedures, TAVR)
• Deliver general anesthesia services during non-ICU weeks, including OR, obstetric, and healthy pediatric cases
• Share OR call proportionally based on ICU coverage
• Participate in clinical decision-making, protocol development, and care coordination
• Engage in teaching and mentoring of residents and APPs
• Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a Level 2 Trauma Center
• Start date: ASAP

Requirements

• Board Eligible (must become Board Certified within 2 years) or Board Certified in Anesthesiology
• Critical Care fellowship-trained
• Michigan license (or willing to obtain)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS (or willing to obtain prior to start)
• DEA and CSR/CDS obtained prior to start
• Up-to-date COVID and flu vaccinations
• Clean malpractice and license history
• Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days)
