A hospital-employed Anesthesiologist with Critical Care fellowship training is needed to join a growing ICU and surgical team in Jackson, MI, at a Level 2 Trauma Center. This role balances high-acuity cardiovascular ICU coverage with comprehensive anesthesia services in the OR, including obstetric and healthy pediatric cases.
Position Highlights:
- Provide 8-12 weeks per year of service in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU), including home call coverage
- Oversee APPs managing post-operative patients (cardiac surgery, major vascular procedures, TAVR)
- Deliver general anesthesia services during non-ICU weeks, including OR, obstetric, and healthy pediatric cases
- Share OR call proportionally based on ICU coverage
- Participate in clinical decision-making, protocol development, and care coordination
- Engage in teaching and mentoring of residents and APPs
- Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a Level 2 Trauma Center
- Start date: ASAP

Requirements
- Board Eligible (must become Board Certified within 2 years) or Board Certified in Anesthesiology
- Critical Care fellowship-trained
- Michigan license (or willing to obtain)
- BLS, ACLS, PALS (or willing to obtain prior to start)
- DEA and CSR/CDS obtained prior to start
- Up-to-date COVID and flu vaccinations
- Clean malpractice and license history
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days)
