Keenan, now a part of Gallagher, is an insurance brokerage and consulting firm meeting the insurance needs of hospitals, public entities and California school districts. Keenan specializes in providing consulting services in the areas of : employee benefits, workers' compensation, loss control, financial, and property & liability. We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Financial Analyst to become a part of our Finance team. This role focuses on reconciling weekly check registers and funding requests from carriers, as well as registers created from Keenan's TPA Mphasis Claims system. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes, while contributing to the overall financial operations of the TPA.
How you'll make an impact :
Reconciliation : Perform weekly reconciliation of carrier and TPA check registers and funding requests. Investigate and resolve discrepancies between registers and funding requests. Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with company COE West Consolidated Billing : Manage and oversee COE West Consolidated Billing processes. Ensure timely and accurate billing for all relevant accounts. Collaborate with internal teams to address billing discrepancies and improve workflows.
Analysis and Reporting : Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement. Prepare detailed reports summarizing reconciliation findings and present them to management. Collaborate with internal teams to provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
Compliance and Documentation : Maintain accurate and organized records of reconciliations, billing, and related financial documents. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls. Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Process Improvement : Identify inefficiencies in reconciliation and billing processes and recommend improvements. Work with cross-functional teams to implement streamlined workflows and automation tools.
Collaboration : Liaise with carriers, TPAs, and internal stakeholders to address queries and ensure smooth communication. Support other finance team members in achieving departmental goals.
Compensation : The target salary range for this position is $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 (US Dollar) annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. Remote work environment flexibility.
About You :
Required : Minimum 2 years customer service experience. Preferred : Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial analysis, reconciliation, or a similar role. Experience working with carriers, TPAs, and consolidated billing processes is highly desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems). Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and benefits :

The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market / geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business / practice area, supply / demand, and scheduled hours.
