Staff AI Engineer

A company is looking for a Staff AI Engineer to lead high-impact projects and mentor teammates in developing AI-powered features.

Key Responsibilities

Own end-to-end implementation of AI-powered product features and mentor other engineers

Handle prompt engineering, model tuning, and evaluation strategies to enhance reliability and user experience

Collaborate with product and design partners to define and scope AI-driven experiences

Required Qualifications

7+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in building ML / AI-powered features in production

Proven experience shipping production AI / GenAI features end-to-end

Strong background as a Staff-level product software engineer

Deep expertise in LLMs, prompt engineering, and evaluation methods

Proficiency in backend development using languages such as Python, Go, Ruby, or TypeScript
