Senior Payroll Tax Administrator
Hybrid | Pasadena, CA (2 days onsite)
Up to $120k base + benefits
Our client, a high-growth global organization, is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Administrator to take ownership of payroll tax compliance across a complex, multi-entity, multi-state environmen t. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who has deep technical experience with payroll tax filings and compliance, particularly within ADP SmartCompliance.
This position requires 2 days onsite in Pasadena , so candidates must be able to meet that hybrid schedule.

Required Qualifications :
- Hands-on, in-depth experience with ADP SmartCompliance (must be technical and active in the system)
- 3+ years of experience managing payroll tax compliance across nearly all U.S. states (40-50 ideally)
- Experience supporting payroll tax compliance for multiple EINs at once
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws
- Experience supporting large, complex organizations is strongly preferred
Nice to Have (Not Required)
Experience with payroll tax compliance for U.S. territories (e.g., Puerto Rico, Guam)What You'll Be Doing
Manage end-to-end payroll tax compliance across 48–50 U.S. statesOversee payroll tax filings, reconciliations, amendments, and tax tracersServe as a subject matter expert for payroll tax compliance using ADP SmartComplianceMaintain and update tax setups within ADP, including new state and local jurisdiction registrationsSupport payroll tax compliance for multiple EINs simultaneouslyPartner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and external agencies to resolve tax-related issuesStay current on federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and ensure ongoing complianceUS Citizens and Permanent Residents are welcome to apply.
