[job_card.job_description]Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex in a medical / surgical stepdown unit Must have travel experience and stepdown experience required Must have acute care surgical floor experience - OR candidates will not be accepted ENT and / or Transplant experience preferred Care for patients pre or post-surgical services with focus on surgical experience Provide post-operative care for patients with new drains, wounds, trachs, ostomies, NGT or DHT Patient ratios are 5 or 6 : 1 for surgical patients and 3 or 4 : 1 for stepdown area Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments Assist physicians in examination of patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures Monitor physiological data and intervene when necessary Administer medications as prescribed and monitor IV infusions and blood products Interact with families regarding care plans and discharge planning Delegate tasks to support staff as needed Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License required Current BLS certification from American Heart Association required Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred Referral bonus
