Job Title : Physical Therapist

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Experience : Minimum of 1 year preferred

License : Licensed Physical Therapist

Certifications : American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required

Must-Have : Graduate of an accredited program of Physical Therapy

Job Description :

Responsible for the evaluation of patients referred for physical therapy treatment, formulation of a treatment plan and goals, and administration of physical therapy treatments.
Engaged in both inpatient and outpatient services, interacting with all hospital departments and medical staff.
Provide one-on-one patient care with one 45-minute appointment every hour.
Perform appropriate evaluation tests and measurements based on the patient's diagnosis.
Develop treatment plans, reassess and revise every 6 weeks or earlier based on patient progress.
Perform physical therapy techniques and use modalities appropriate to the diagnosis.
Document progress reports for patients in a timely manner to coincide with physician follow-up visits, and assist with compliance for insurance carriers and utilization review companies for authorization and reimbursement.
Share coverage duties for inpatient care on holidays and Sundays with other physical therapists (generally one holiday per year and Sunday coverage 6-8 times per year).
