Currently specializing in Design and Supply of fabricated steel packages for Pre-Engineered and Hybrid Steel Structures, our overwhelming success has established a deep network of owners and general contractors, allowing us to set ambitious goals for 2025.

Position Summary

Western Steel Buildings is seeking anEstimatorto serve a key role within our company, helping to deliver superior products and value to our clients. This role is crucial for managing financial risk and ensuring the accuracy of our project estimates. Project types include recreation, warehouse, aviation, cultivation, municipalities, educational facilities, churches, and others

Job Responsibilities

  • Acts as a knowledgeable resource in the field of PEMB design, providing expertise to

internal and external stakeholders.

  • Advise sales team on best practices for steel building takeoffs and design.
  • Responsible for identifying, managing, and mitigating financial risk exposure to Western

    • Steel Buildings

  • Maintains knowledge of third-party vendors to accurately estimate project costs
  • Develop and improve knowledge of PEMB best practices and design limitations
  • Review estimates completed by the sales team and other estimators for accuracy and

    • scope

  • Reports to Estimating Manager

    • Qualifications

  • Proficient in Metal Building Software with 5-10 years of relevant experience (preferred)
  • Experience with Tekla is a plus
  • Experience within and knowledge of the construction industry
