Job Title : IHBT Therapist – Portage County Location : Akron, Ohio Type : Direct Hire About the Role We’re looking for a compassionate and dedicated IHBT Therapist to join our team in Akron, Ohio. In this role, you’ll provide Intensive Home-Based Therapy (IHBT) services to youth and families throughout Portage County. This position is ideal for someone who’s passionate about empowering clients, strengthening families, and creating meaningful change within the community. You’ll use a strengths-based, evidence-informed approach to help individuals overcome emotional, behavioral, and environmental challenges while keeping families together and promoting stability at home. What You’ll Do Deliver home-based therapeutic services to youth and families in Portage County Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Implement trauma-informed, evidence-based interventions tailored to each client’s goals Collaborate closely with families, schools, and community partners to coordinate care Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support when needed Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation Participate in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development What You’ll Bring Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field Active licensure as an LSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC (preferred) Experience in IHBT, home-based, or community-based therapy is a plus Excellent communication, engagement, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team environment Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation systems Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation What Makes You a Great Fit You’re passionate about working with youth and families in their own environments You value collaboration, empathy, and resilience in your work You’re motivated by seeing measurable progress and real-world impactaa415a4b-8b21-40fc-a65c-70d2b25ca29a
