Job Title : 1st and 2nd shift Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machinist with at least 3+ years of experience in the setup, operation, and program editing of CNC mills and lathes. The role involves operating a variety of machines including numerically controlled vertical and turning centers, tube lathes, band saws, abrasive saws, and tie rod machines. Additional tasks include cleaning, de-burring, masking, painting of cylinders, material handling, general housekeeping, and chip removal. The position requires working in a flexible, cellular production environment.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate one or more numerically controlled vertical and turning centers.
• Operate tube lathes, band saws, abrasive saws, and tie rod machines.
• Perform tasks such as cleaning, de-burring, masking, and painting of cylinders.
• Handle materials, maintain general housekeeping, and remove chips from machines.
• Perform all operations within the machine's capability.
• Work in a flexible, cellular production environment to perform multiple tasks.

Work Environment

The position is in a union environment that involves running machines, loading parts, and gathering tools and materials for specific jobs. Candidates have the option to work either the 1st shift from 6 : 30 AM to 3 PM or the 2nd shift from 3 PM to 11 PM, depending on their preference.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Cudahy, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $60000.00 / yr.
