We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cost Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position that offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to play a crucial role in our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating inventory, analyzing cost roll-ups, setting up and maintaining standard labor and overhead rates for production, and providing in-depth financial analysis to management.

Responsibilities :

As a Cost Accountant, you will be expected to :

1. Analyze and report on cost-of-goods-sold, cost-to-produce, and profit and loss (P&L) to provide valuable insights to management.

2. Prepare and review reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

3. Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to reduce costs and increase profitability.

4. Manage budgeting and forecasting processes with a focus on continuous improvement.

5. Track and analyze inventory levels to ensure proper classification and effective inventory management.

6. Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and achieve cost efficiencies.

7. Utilize ERP systems and MS Excel to manage and analyze financial data.

8. Use Adage or equivalent software to manage and streamline accounting processes.

9. Solve complex financial problems and provide recommendations to management.

Qualifications :

The successful candidate must possess :

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a cost accounting role within the manufacturing industry.

2. Proficiency in inventory evaluation, cost roll-ups, and setting up and maintaining standard labor and overhead rates for production.

3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide in-depth financial analysis to management.

4. Experience in preparing and reviewing financial reports, cost-to-produce, P&L, and profit and loss analysis.

5. Proven track record of implementing cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.

6. Excellent budgeting and forecasting skills.

7. Familiarity with GAAP and the ability to ensure proper classification of inventory.

8. Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and Adage or equivalent software.

9. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide innovative solutions to complex financial problems.

10. Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide valuable insights to management.
