Job Title :          EHS Specialist

Location :         South San Francisco, CA 94080

Job Description :

The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist will work onsite at the South San Francisco campus with direction from the Company EHS.  Maintain compliance with Company's EHS Policy through the implementation of safety procedures consistent with the company's requirements and applicable EHS regulations, codes and standards.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Four year college degree in a related field (e.g., environmental, safety, biology, chemistry, physics, engineering) with 0-5 years of EHS industry experience preferably in biopharma or R&D laboratories.
• Basic understanding of EHS regulations (federal and state), applicable consensus standards (e.g., ANSI; NFPA; NEC).
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders with professionalism, sensitivity, and diplomacy.
• Preferred Qualifications :
• Excellent communication skills are required as the position interacts with all levels of personnel including facilities, laboratories, engineering, and our business partners.
• Experience maintaining and managing day-to-day health, safety, emergency response, environmental compliance activities
• Ability to work well in a rapidly changing environment
• Demonstrated computer proficiency and familiarity with Google docs, slides, sheets, as well as other common computer applications
• Experience with entering data into and navigating databases
