- Component familiarity – while they don't need to know the function of every component, they should be able to identify them.
- Strong proficiency in Excel at a high level.
- Ability to work effectively with all personality types.
- Assertive enough to follow up and push for approvals when needed
- BOM experience is a MUST
Job Summary :
The Documentation & Configuration Analyst is responsible for managing and maintaining product
documentation, engineering change control, and configuration management processes to ensure accuracy,
traceability, and compliance with company and industry standards. This role supports engineering,
manufacturing, and quality teams by maintaining controlled documentation and ensuring that product
configurations are correctly implemented and recorded throughout the product lifecycle.
Duties / Responsibilities :
Manage and maintain product documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), drawings,specifications, and assembly instructions.
Administer and support the Engineering Change Order (ECO) and Document Change Order(DCO) processes.
Maintain configuration control to ensure accurate revision tracking of parts, assemblies, andproducts.
Ensure documentation complies with ISO 9001, IPC, and other applicable industry standards.Collaborate with engineering and production teams to update and release new or reviseddocuments in a timely manner.
Maintain Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or Document Control systems (e.g., Arena, Agile,SolidWorks PDM, Windchill).
Generate and maintain master part numbers and product configuration records.Support audits by providing accurate and complete documentation as requested.Monitor document approval workflows to ensure timely processing and compliance.Train employees on document control procedures and configuration management best practices.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to document management andconfiguration processes.

Required Skills / Abilities :
Strong understanding of revision control and configuration management principles.Familiarity with electronic manufacturing documentation (schematics, PCB layouts, assemblydrawings, BOMs).
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Knowledge of ISO 9001 and / or AS9100 documentation standards preferred.Education and Experience :
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related fieldpreferred.
2–5 years of experience in documentation control, configuration management, or related rolewithin an electronic or manufacturing environment.
Experience with PLM / ERP systems and document control software required
