Primary Function
The Material Handler supports warehouse operations with a primary focus on the Horizontal Case Dispenser (HCD) automated system. This role is responsible for stocking, monitoring, and performing quality checks on automation equipment to ensure accurate and efficient order fulfillment. Manual pallet building and traditional warehouse tasks are secondary responsibilities and performed as needed to support operational flow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and support the Horizontal Case Dispenser (HCD) to ensure continuous, accurate case flow.
- Perform quality control checks on product dispensed by automation equipment.
- Stock and replenish product lanes feeding the HCD.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and report automation issues, jams, or damaged product.
- Pull product and build pallets manually when required.
- Verify order accuracy prior to wrapping, staging, and loading.
- Wrap, stage, load, and unload product and pallets as needed.
- Operate manual and power pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Follow FIFO standards and monitor product date codes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Follow all company safety policies and participate in required training.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.Minimum of two years of warehouse experience; automation experience preferred.Valid North Carolina driver's license required.Ability to lift 40 pounds frequently, 30 pounds overhead, and occasionally lift up to 55 pounds.Ability to stand, walk, push, and pull for extended periods.Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safety and teamwork.Must be able to pass a background check, MVR review, and drug screening.
