Summary : As a Registration Specialist, you are a key player in department workflow and organization directly affecting patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct accurate patient registration process by collecting accurate information; verify demographic, insurance and physician information; update accounts as needed; obtain all necessary signatures, consent forms and financial agreements; collect co-pays when applicable
• Answer department phone calls and relay messages to appropriate staff; participate in departmental performance improvement plans; maintain supply of all forms and paper
• Enter all required data into computer system; ensure all reports and logs are completed accurately and on time

Physical Requirements : S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
