A company is looking for a Sr Consultant, Risk Analytics Researcher.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead research and development for catastrophe models, focusing on hurricanes and severe convective storms
Integrate meteorological science with risk modeling and geospatial analytics
Apply hybrid modeling approaches to improve accuracy and conduct vendor model evaluations
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education :
Ph.D. in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or related field, or a Master's with 5-10 years of relevant experience
Strong background in meteorology / atmospheric science, particularly with hurricanes and severe convective storms
Experience with geospatial data integration and proficiency in R and / or Python for data analysis
Solid understanding of relational databases (SQL) and familiarity with catastrophe modeling platforms
Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and publish findings
