About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Trauma and Acute Care Surgery (ACS) Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a dynamic surgical team at a Level II Trauma Center in Thousand Oaks, California. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, teaching hospital environment with strong daily supervision and the potential to transition into a full-time role. Position Overview
- Trauma Level : Level II Trauma Center
- Schedule : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM shifts
- Annual Shift Count : 146 total 12-hour shifts
- Compensation : $958.40 per shift
Responsibilities
Provide Trauma and ACS services in a high-acuity setting.Perform inpatient responsibilities including rounds, consults, discharges, and bedside procedures.Participate in trauma resuscitation and emergency surgical evaluations.Work alongside and be paired daily with a supervising trauma surgeon for direct support.Contribute to a teaching hospital environment, supporting medical students and fostering continuous learning.Maintain thorough clinical documentation and follow established care protocols.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.Requirements
Active California PA or NP License1–2 years of prior surgical experience (Trauma, ACS, or related field preferred)Thousand Oaks offers a blend of suburban comfort, natural beauty, and proximity to both Los Angeles and scenic outdoor spaces.
