Participate in trauma resuscitation and emergency surgical evaluations. Work alongside and be paired daily with a supervising trauma surgeon for direct support. Contribute to a teaching hospital environment, supporting medical students and fostering continuous learning. Maintain thorough clinical documentation and follow established care protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. Active California PA or NP License 1–2 years of prior surgical experience (Trauma, ACS, or related field preferred) Continuously learn and grow by adapting to various clinical environments, enhancing your skill set and versatility. Contribute to global health initiatives by participating in international locum assignments, addressing healthcare disparities and supporting healthcare infrastructure development. Enjoy the flexibility of short-term assignments, allowing you to test the waters before committing to permanent positions or long-term contracts. Experience diverse medical settings, patient demographics, and clinical challenges, enriching your professional expertise. About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Trauma and Acute Care Surgery (ACS) Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a dynamic surgical team at a Level II Trauma Center in Thousand Oaks, California. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, teaching hospital environment with strong daily supervision and the potential to transition into a full-time role. Position Overview
- Trauma Level : Level II Trauma Center
- Schedule : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM shifts
- Annual Shift Count : 146 total 12-hour shifts
- Compensation : $958.40 per shift
