We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Electrical Engineering to join our team in Mesa, AZ. Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers in electrical design; manage performance evaluations, professional growth and resource allocations across multiple programs..
- Ensure all hardware designs meet Design Assurance Level (DAL) requirements; oversee creation and approval of PHACs, HDPs, and Hardware Accomplishment Summaries.
- Oversee and guide electrical strategies for EMI / EMC compliance activities and environmental qualification.
- Support System Engineering in formal Design Reviews (PDR / CDR); review and approve CCA packages adhering to manufacturing processes (DFM / DFA) to ensure production scalability and repeatability.
- Bid and forecast resource needs; manage department budgets and oversee project schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
- Earned Value Management (EVM) :
- Plan and track mechanical engineering scope, schedule, and cost performance in alignment with program Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement engineering processes and technical approches to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide professional development opportunities for team members.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to drive continuous improvement in engineering practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred15+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.Expertise with advanced Printed Circuit Board design tools (Altium, Cadence) and Model- Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices.Deep understanding of MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and RTCA DO-160 standards.Experience with resource planning, performance evaluations (SMART Goals), and team development.Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts as applied to engineering execution on government programs.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Military service or government contract experience preferred.Willing and able to travel both in and outside US.Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
